For generations, the Tryon family has been a philanthropic family donating to various causes based on diversified family interests. From national social causes to local community-based organizations, we've funded libraries, schools, community centers, historic sites, medical research, performing arts venues, parks, humane societies, and various other social causes.
The Tryon Family Foundation began its formation in 1998 upon the untimely death of Lorraine Mae Clickman Tryon. Lorraine's passion for history, animals, and the arts was significant. Her son, Randy, continued her legacy, and the families, by supporting community based not-for-profit organizations that were most meaningful to her.
In 2020, Randy Tryon, along with guidance from his husband, decided to formalize the Tryon Family Foundation, which allows for greater sustainability and to further expand the families philanthropic arm and legacy of giving.
In turn, this evolved into a collaborative mission to continue the family philosophy of "giving for the greater good." By creating the Tryon Family Foundation, we have invited like-minded members of the Tryon family, and friends, to be an integral part of this organizations Advisory Board. Together, we are continuously evolving this worthy and far-reaching family foundation.
The Tryon Family Foundation is a private, nonprofit grantmaking limited liability company.

The Tryon Family Foundation would not be successful if it was not for a dynamic and passionate team of advisors who live and work here in the Hudson Valley. Together, we represent the Foundation as we continue the family legacy and philosophy of "Giving for the Greater Good."
