The Tryon Family has been synonymous with early American history dating centuries ago to the mid-1600’s when we first arrived from England, settling in Connecticut.
Our work and this site is dedicated to Lorraine Mae Clickman Tryon.
Without her unconditional love, guidance and devotion, we may never have known our purpose.
The Tryon Family Foundation continues a "legacy of giving" by providing philanthropic support to not-for-profit organizations in the areas of the arts, nature, animal welfare, research, and education.
Sadly, my mother lost her battle against ovarian cancer when I was just 19 years old. She was more than my mother, she was my best friend and the most loving, caring, and generous person I ever knew. She taught me what it meant to help others and to live life unselfishly.
I invite you to explore this site to learn about me, my family history, the charities we support, and how the family philosophy of "giving for the greater good" continues to be reflected in all that we do.
